I found myself a bottle of New Holland Dragon Milk Reserve, toasted chili edition. Standard Dragon’s Milk is possibly my favorite brew, so this is a nice treat for me. Very heavy brew, and at 11% you can smell the alcohol the minute you open the bottle. Chilies lend a nice kick to it, too.

They make beer with coffee in it. Less excuses, more drinking.

Just polished this off. Saw it in the store, thought “lol carrot beer what” and decided to try it. It was MEH, tasted like a watered down pumpkin ale. Might be the only mediocre Stone beer I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot of world class Stone beers. On the plus side, 8.5% means I’m a little buzzed now.

That’s a shame, it sounds like something that should be halfway decent, if a bit odd.

It wasn’t necessarily bad, just underwhelming, not something I’m used to from Stone. I still appreciate they made it, though - good on them for doing weird stuff like this every couple months.

So far just Eel River. Alternating between the Amber and the Blonde. That shit tastes good on a balmy night. But there’s a bottle of Fortaleza Anejo under the bar that’s calling my name pretty loudly, so I’ll be bustin’ that out directly.

I haven't enjoyed any milk stouts. Tonight I am enjoying an Octoberfest by Harpoon. If they released them a little sooner it would probably be my summer beer.

Berkshire Brewing Company has a great coffee stout. Sadly, I can only find it in 22oz’s.
